What is collected
Nothing is required to read this site. No account, no email address, no form to fill in.
Standard server logs record the requested page, a timestamp, referring page, and browser user-agent. These are used to keep the site working and to see which articles are read. They are not used to build a profile of individual readers.
Cookies
This site does not set advertising or tracking cookies of its own. WordPress may set a functional cookie if you leave a comment or log in as an author.
If you write to hello@lifebetweenhighways.com, that message and address are kept only to reply to you, and are not added to any mailing list or shared with anyone.
Third parties
Images may be served from the photo libraries they came from, and those services see the request in the same way any web request is seen. Links to other websites are covered by those sites’ own policies, not this one.
Your rights
You can ask what data relates to you and ask for it to be deleted, by writing to hello@lifebetweenhighways.com.
California residents
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request its deletion, and to opt out of its sale. Life Between Highways does not sell personal information and never has. The only personal information held is what you send by email. To make a request, write to hello@lifebetweenhighways.com.
Children
This site is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. No information is knowingly collected from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent information, write to hello@lifebetweenhighways.com and it will be deleted.
